Ground was broke Monday, March 22, 2021, on an expansion that has been a long time in the making for Morrison Container Handling Solutions. As we approach our 50th Anniversary, we're humbled at how much we've grown, especially in the past year as we ramped up production to bring 30 COVID test kit manufacturing machines to market, and it has left us with a need for more space to build our custom container handling equipment.

The expansion, which will be 80,000 square feet in addition to the current building location, will allow our team to greater serve our customers and deliver our Support Built InĀ® promise. Currently, we operate in three buildings on the same street, renting a fourth in order to accommodate the increased orders due to the pandemic. This expansion will bring our team under one roof and be better set up to allow Morrison to continue down this growth trajectory while serving our booming packaging industry.

Monday, Glenwood Mayor Ron Gardiner joined our CEO Nancy Wilson and Vice President of Operations Chris Wilson, along with members of the Village of Glenwood, to perform a ceremonial ground breaking on the site of building addition. The addition will be build off Morrison's existing main location at 335 W. 194th Street in Glenwood, Illinois.

Morrison is a family-owned business, started by President Nick Wilson in 1971. The Morrison leadership team is incredibly proud to be able to grow our business and continue to serve our customers while investing in Chicago's Southland.
