With workforce needs becoming harder and harder to fulfill in skilled and unskilled positions, it’s leaving packaging plants like yours without the talent needed to service the equipment that keeps your production up and running. Why keep trying to hire teams to service equipment when the experts are already at your fingertips and don’t have to be on the payroll?
If you’re still not sure about why a Preventative Maintenance Agreement could be right for your Morrison equipment, our Aftermarket Services Manager Seth Licke has answers to your questions below.
Q: What is a Preventative Maintenance Agreement?
A: A preventative maintenance agreement is a service agreement between the end-user of the equipment and the original equipment manufacturer [OEM] in which the OEM provides routine maintenance services onsite to keep their equipment up and running before wear components fail and cause downtime.
Q: How does a Preventative Maintenance Agreement impact my production?
A: Preventative Maintenance Agreement visits can be pre planned to happen during scheduled down periods on your line to reduce any production conflicts.
Q: What are the benefits to signing up for a Preventative Maintenance Agreement instead of just calling for service when something on my line goes down?
A: Preventative Maintenance prevents unwarranted down time. Generally, a service visit is scheduled because the machine is down and or underperforming. A preventative Maintenance trip will maintain the production levels needed to sustain the demand needed over the course of the entire two-year agreement.
Q: How long does the Preventative Maintenance Agreement last?
A: Each agreement is designed to last two years.
Q: How often will a Morrison service technician come onsite for the duration of my Preventative Maintenance Agreement?
A: Based on what your plant conditions and workforce arrangements are, you’ll sign up for either a 4-visit, 6-visit, or 8-visit plan.
The 4-visit plan results in 1 visit every six months for two years. The 6-visit plan is 1 visit every 3 months for the first year and 1 visit every 6 months for the second year. The 8-visit plan is 1 visit every 3 months for two years.
Q: How do I know which agreement is best for me?
